Gary Jones was born on 4th January 1958 in Swansea, Wales, U.K. He joined the improv group “Mission Improvable.” the in the mid-1980’s he joined Toronto’s Second City Improv Company. In 1986 with Second City he went to Vancouver for Expo 86, where they performed for six months at the Expo’s Flying Club. After the Expo was finished, Jones stayed in Vancouver, where he soon got a role in TV series Danger Bay.

Jones followed this up with role of Davis in the Airwolf episode Rogue Warrior, then appeared in Wiseguy and 21 Jump Street. 

During 1990-91 G.I. Joe cartoon series Jones provided many additional voices, and also landed roles in Glory Days, The New Adventures of the Black Stallion, Relentless: Mind of a Killer, The Commish, The Substitute, Sleeping with Strangers, Andre,The Marshal and Double, Double Toil and Trouble.
