Amelie Leroy promo 2We introduced ISLAND CON INDIES last week and we’re thrilled to announce our first ‘Island Con Indie guest’ – AMELIE LEROY!

Amelie is a European actress (French & Swiss), who trained in London and has since worked in film and theatre within the UK and Japan.

She had the great opportunity to play the iconic role of ‘Moro’ in the first stage adaptation of Hayao Miyazaki’s Oscar winning film ‘Princess Mononoke’. She performed in this sell out show in Tokyo / Japan, meeting Miyazaki and the founders of Studio Ghibli – a highlight of her career to date.

She then landed her first feature film role in horror film ‘Dark Signal’, executive produced by Neil Marshall (The Descent, Dog Soldiers & Hellboy). ‘Dark Signal’ was released theatrically in the US in 2017, and can be seen on Sky (UK) as well as on Netflix (US).

Since then, she has worked on several feature films. ‘The Lorelei’ and ‘Abduction’, are both available on Amazon Prime, and she’s just finished filming on the sequel to ‘Abduction’- to be released in 2019.

She is currently filming period vampire feature film ‘Remember, Remember: Grace and Mercy’ in Yorkshire, and has several productions in the pipeline, including working with the writer/director and producer of ‘Dark Signal’ on their next feature film.

Amelie is a writer and director herself and is about to film her first short film in 2019. She has two feature films in development.

She is a sports addict trained in martial arts (Jiu Jitsu & MMA), an aerialist (silks & pole dance) and is always on the look out for the next challenge!

>>>ISLAND CON INDIES is a new project from us to give a platform to up-and-coming actors and actresses, independent film makers, first time convention appearances and those who we feel deserve a platform to take their profile further.<<<
